Eastside Arts Alliance & Cultural Center
227 International Boulevard
Oakland, CA 94601
RSVP here.

Please join us for an afternoon of spoken word, film and community dialogue featuring Dr. Shakti Butler’s new work, “Cracking the Codes: The System of Racial Inequity.” This groundbreaking documentary asks America to talk about the causes and consequences of systemic inequity and come together to build a movement for healing and change.

Film segments are braided with dialogue facilitated by Shakti Butler. People engage in talking about the system of racial inequity prompted by the stories in the film “Cracking the Codes: The System of Racial Inequity.” People leave asking new questions and are inspired to engage in change. Young people are strongly encouraged to attend this free event, and light refreshments will be served. Seating is limited; unfortunately, first-come-first-served.

PUEBLO
‘s mission is to advocate for the needs of low income residents of Oakland, most of them people of color, by grassroots organizing, offering leadership training and initating policy reform.

World Trust
is a catalyst for racial equity.  World Trust produces programs and seminars based on our films that open minds and hearts.  We offer the skills to perceive and challenge the system of inequity that reinforces racial oppression.  We believe that suffering perpetuated by racial and economic divides is, at its core, the result of a disconnect from our collective humanity.  Please visit our website www.crackingthecodes.org to see film clips and learn more about our latest film, Cracking the Codes: The System of Racial Inequity.
Together we are building change.
