Courtney Jones

Director of Operations

Courtney Jones currently serves as the Director of Operations for World Trust Educational Services. In this capacity she works with staff to oversee the daily operations of the organization including efforts to expand World Trust initiatives. In her role Courtney serves as a liaison to the board of directors and is responsible for assisting with marketing projects and developing a solid donor base. She is excited to utilize her skills at World Trust, working with the facilitators and educators to support racial justice and equality. Prior to this role, Courtney served in a consultant capacity as World Trust’s Transition Specialist responsible for ensuring program continuity as staff transitioned from the organization.  Courtney is an Oakland native who is passionate about giving back to her community and helping underserved people. She is known for her mantra “I would love to save the world.” Prior to joining World Trust, Courtney enjoyed a long and successful career in the healthcare industry. During 11 years at Alameda Alliance for Health, Courtney advanced from Claims Mailroom Clerk to Director of Network Management overseeing the provider services, provider data, and contracting department. In addition to being promoted over 8 times she was celebrated for creating efficiencies that saved the organization over $1 million by implementing changes to contracting and restructuring the way the organization processed services. An advocate for social justice and racial equity beginning at a young age, Courtney most recently participated as a co-chair on the Chabot Elementary Equity and Inclusion Committee. She is currently serving in her second year as PTA president and enjoys leading a Girl Scout troop of over 60 girls ages 5 through 12. Courtney is passionate about connecting her Girl Scout troop to the community including participating in homeless service projects and environmental clean- up activities. An advocate for change and avid volunteer, Courtney believes that putting in the work will always produce results.
